Stella Khue Tran, “5th Aberdeen’s Collaborative Urban Path | My proposal design for Aberdeen Castlegate is to make the pedestrian paths more cohesive within the blocks, introducing more threshold through the neighborhood, and towards the waterfront. Juxtaposing the exterior park and interior plaza with other open park ideas along the path give the locals options of lunch spaces and event places during the wet and windy weather, promoting textile and whiskey productions in local specialty shops surrounding the plazas. By prioritizing the visibility of these spaces, the programmed spaces compose different promenades designed towards people with different purposes during the day. Aberdeen Castlegate then again would be flourished with its own identity and rich culture – a livable neighborhood.” Urban Regeneration Studio: Professors Sepideh Hajisoltani + Josué Robles Caraballo, Summer 2020 #usfsacd #usfmucd #usf20
